THE UAE

This was written by Karan Wadhwani without the use of AI

The UAE is an exciting place with a mix 20% locals, and 80% others ,of which 65% may be from India.

Many visit for the glitz and the glamour, the shops, and the architecture, but many don’t visit the desert or are interested in the solar park and other non-tourist activities.

The UAE is a country that competes between the crazy rich and the struggle to survive all in one place-(reference: old Dubai vs new Dubai).Advancements are there, laws are changing, and corporate income tax is being implemented, but some things are still lacking. Induced rain seedling occurs, but the streets are still flooded once or twice a year due to heavy rains. Go figure?

There is a monetary fine for everything - that is how all the rules are enforced. People are rewarded and yet scared by the money.

The head of the kingdom's photograph is everywhere, claiming that his job is to create happiness for its people.

It takes time to realize and appreciate this land as a kingdom; it’s a fairy tale, a golden empire where the rulers live, reside, and enjoy the fruits of labour. It is the fruits of others' labor (the laborers that have built Dubia) - when you think about it, it is an intense country, you could say. One where a building of 100 stories is created in 1 year with non-stop construction in the blink of an eye.

Someone told me it’s a first-world country with third-world amenities. So who is moving there, and why? Many people move for the opportunity; they leave their current homes, possibly locked into a contract which they don’t even understand the terms of. I can’t explain the number of credit unions, and financial transfer institutions that were filled with people sending money home -. This is a good thing, but does it come at a cost?

The thing is, in today’s world, you need a bit of knowledge, you need money, and you need education; these are vital requirements (once you have this, you can fulfill what you desire), and when this is not offered or is not satisfied, we look elsewhere. So perhaps the key is to be happy with what you’ve got, always move forward, good security of what you own, keep your standards high, and don’t lose faith in what you do.

Because the world can be challenging, many people choose not to take the path they truly want to follow; they neglect their strengths, or what they are built to do, and, in the end, become unhappy people. So, the takeaway is: always protect your own and protect others in the process.

I’m grateful and blessed to be of Indian descent, raised in Africa, and residing in Canada. We have so much freedom, opportunity, and a sense of equality. We have trust in our governments and the people around us. We have incredible nature, kind souls, compassion and much more.

They say North America is hard -lots of work (home, office and life), barely any time off - we just work to live, not live to work. As you travel more, you realize our passport and nationality judge us. I'm not saying this is correct, but we subconsciously use this information to perceive others - we judge based on income and status.

This might all be common knowledge to you, but it’s all unfortunate if you don’t have humility for the other human being or animal.
