Karan completed his studies in Hospitality Management and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Entrepreneurship Management at Royal Roads University (Victoria,BC).
Following his graduation in Hospitality Management from SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary, AB, he made the move out west to Vancouver Island to continue his studies and escape the Alberta winters. He has since made the island home for the past 7 years.
His experience varies across industries such as; retail (e-commerce), hospitality, technology start-ups, and the public sector as he has spent the last 3 years working with the Ministry of Finance, Income Taxation Branch (ITB). In his time with the ITB, Karan has led and assisted on a variety of projects, including; Contract Management of Information Sharing, Consultancy/Performance Management of the Gentax system, Business/Strategic Planning, and assisted on various phases of the Revenue Transformation Initiative.
Most recently, Karan has been supporting ITB (covid-19 deployment) with the Emergency Benefit for Workers Program (EBW) and Recovery Benefit Program and the GovTogether BC media platofrms.
